Architectural Wonder in the Swedish Pines
Suspended four meters above the forest floor and attached to a single solid pine trunk, the Mirrorcube is an extraordinary 4x4x4 meter aluminum structure clad in reflective glass. The exterior mirrors the sky and surrounding boreal forest, creating a near-invisible visual illusion among the trees.
Designed by architects Bolle Tham and Martin Videgård, the interior is constructed entirely from birch plywood, offering 360-degree windows and a rooftop terrace accessed via an inclined rope bridge ladder.
Special Bird Safety Feature
To prevent local forest birds from colliding with the reflective glass, a transparent ultraviolet foil is layered onto the glass panes. While invisible to human eyes, birds perceive it as a solid barrier.
What to Expect During Your Stay
Guests receive thermal boots and lanterns upon arrival at the central base lodge. A short walk through untouched Swedish forest leads to your elevated pod. Nighttime brings absolute quiet, with winter months giving guests front-row seats to the Aurora Borealis through the overhead glass hatch.
